“ Great roadside cafe that is clean, friendly, and generous with portions. Scratch cooking like grandma used to make. Chicken fried steak that is fresh, not frozen. homemade pies and soups. And don't forget a cinnamon roll for the road. Mary's proves there are still establishments that take pride in their food and service. ”
“ I know I've posted enough about this place for it to get boring, but still...this little cafe is wonderful! We try to come in about every six weeks or so, and never, ever have we had a complaint! Today's visit involved the biggest dadgummed cinnamon roll I ever saw and bottomless cups of real "cowboy" coffee. You know, the kind of coffee that you ALMOST need to chew, but is still hearty and delicious. Today, Sierra and Hannah spoiled us unmercifully! I can guarantee we'll be back! When you visit, bring a huge appetite for great, authentic Northern Arizona home cooking! If you're really hungry, grab yourself a Cowboy Club sandwich. Didn't do it today, and I'm kinda sorry about that, but I'm not able to take a nap this afternoon, so I'll pass. Next time, though! Thank you, Mary's Cafe! ”
“ Amazing food and great service. Try the brisket! It's as close to Tx as you'll find in Flag Sierra was excellent, and so personable. ”
“ Breakfast is defiantly good. The service is awesome and friendly. When passing through Flagstaff, AZ I get my morning started with a nice breakfast and coffee. The ambiance is good for singles and families. I recommend this place for sure. I haven't tried lunch, dinner or the bar. However, I'm sure they will be fine. ”
“ When traveling, we like to use yelp to local businesses. Mary's Café looked interesting, and we stopped in for lunch after returning from Sunset Crater and Wupatki (two must see National Monument parks!). The atmosphere is very homey with pine board paneling. The entire staff is very friendly. Amanda was our server and Sierra helped too. Extremely friendly and they checked in on us regularly. Anything we needed they got it immediately. I ordered the Cobb Salad and it was HUGH. The roast beef is the kind one would expect on a French Dip. My wife ordered chicken quesadillas and we ended up taking a third of her meal home the serving size was that March. I could not finish all of my salad either. We were both very satisfied with the taste of our meals. We live in Phoenix but when we return to the Flagstaff area, we would definitely like to go to Mary's Café again. ”
“ Great food, great cafe atmosphere. Haylie was awesome, very friendly and conversational. Genuinely nice and provided excellent service with a smile. She was a joy to talk to and Mary's Cafe should be proud to have her as an employee. ”
“ Mary's cafe has great food, reasonable prices, decent service, and generous portion sizes. Tip: Soda refills are not complimentary My biggest complaint is the fact that it took quite a while for our food to be ready. That said, when it came, the Wrangler Burger was exceptional :-) ”
“ Great little restaurant for breakfast, just don't come by yourself. The restaurant was lovely, very quaint and well decorated. It opens super early and the waitress was super friendly and attentive. Food is your typical American breakfast: I chose the highly rated cinnamon french toast which hit all the right notes and definitely left an impression. Served along with hash browns, your choice of egg and bacon/sausage/ham (I chose bacon). The taste of the food was great, but the portion highlighted why USA got so much health problems. Better come here with your significant other or one of your friend and share the food. Tip and tax all came out to be ~$27 (added an orange juice cup), so probably not a place you can enjoy daily. ”
“ Great find in Flagstaff! Our server was great and the smell of this afternoon's bbq was a nice way to start our day. We ordered the cinnamon roll French toast which came with eggs, bacon (could order sausage) and hash browns. The cinnamon French toast is incredible! Light, fluffy roll turned into French toast. Eggs done well and the hash browns were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The restaurant looks small from the outside but is actually larger than it looks like. The inside is simple diner decor with a counter for singles. There is a huge area for the night time dinner and drink crowd as well as a patio area for warmer weather. Easy to spot on 89 next to the ConocoPhillips gas station. Plenty of parking for any size car, truck or RV in the rear. Our only negative comment would be no cream for our coffee... 2% doesn't cut it. I'm sure that's an easy fix! ”
“ Quiet spot on an early Monday morning. We were quickly greeted and seated. Coffee came shortly after. We both had egg/meat/hash browns, although my husband added French toast. All were well cooked. Simple, well done, fresh. Good stop, even though it's not much to look at from the outside. ”
